Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz beat out Nigeria’s Flavour Nabania, Toofan from Togo, South Africa’s Big Nuz and Mi Casa to win the Best Live Act at the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA).
This win by the singer did not stop him and Flavour from performing at the music ceremony on Saturday, 18 July 2015 inDurban. At the event, Diamond reminded Africans why they voted for him. Clad in red and white with an army of dancers, he danced, sang and entertained viewers with his moves and aerobics. Flavour featured on his performance set, adding some Nigerian essence to the East African’s act.
The two men had the ladies screaming and fanning themselves as they both rolled their waists on staged. Diamond has previously worked with the ‘Oyi’ singer on his track called ‘Nana’.
The award-winning performer has worked with several other Nigerian artists including Davido, Waje, Iyanya and Kcee.
