This father of five kids needs urgent assistance to raise money for a kidney transplant.

For Benedict Ohanwadi, a father of five young kids, life ceased to have a meaning in 2012 when he developed pains around his abdomen and doctors told him he was suffering from hernia and was operated upon.
But in 2014, Ohanwadi was diagnosed with renal failure and since then, he has been in great pains and bed ridden. He was admitted at the Imo State Teaching Hospital, Orlu, where he was being taken care of and monitored to secure the second kidney.
But to compound his woes, his two kidneys failed and has to undergo dialysis twice every week.
According to his elder brother, John Ohanwadi, the family has exhausted its resources on treating Benedict, who now needs a donor and financial assistance and they are appealing to well meaning Nigerians and government at all levels to come to their aid with the financial assistance to raise N15 million that is estimated for a renal transplant and other related expenses including cost of drugs, flight tickets for the patient and the kidney donor, among other related expenses.
John said Benedict has been referred to India or Germany for a renal transplant by his medical consultant, Dr Anyabu, of the Imo State University Teaching Hospital, and that the only hindrance is funds.
