It is not a surprise that the mega stars of Nigerian music industry get a lot of attention from girls. However, they admit that this is also their source of inspiration:
“Sometimes, they bare their bosoms for us to sign autographs. The girls are the ones that give us the confidence, that we’re doing the right thing. Guys would just hail us, but the female fans would give us signals and make us know that we’re on the right track. So we try our best to give our female fans all the time we think we can give to them.”

The actor once confessed that a crazy fan attempted to molest him:
“She tried to rape me. She acted like a friend, we got talking, and she came to my house for a drink and tried forcing herself on me. She said she was going to scream and say I tried to molest her if I did not agree. Luckily, I was talking to somebody on the phone at that point in time, so I just kept the person on the line. I told the girl that someone heard everything she said and it was up to her to do anything she wanted. She let go, and I forgave her.“

The actor remembered a particularly insistent female fan:“A friend of mine had a party which I attended. Everyone was drinking, and I went to the restroom. I did not know it was the ladies’ I entered. I bumped into a lady who was coming out. She grabbed my crotch and quickly planted a kiss. I retreated and told her I did not know who she was. She said I did not need to know her. We are friends now, but nothing intimate.
And yet another female fan was daring enough to express her warm feelings: “Some time ago, I had a flat tyre in Lagos and a lady stopped to help. I told her I was fine, and while she was leaving, she tapped my buttocks”.

The gorgeous Nollywood star had this story to tell: “Hitting my bum. Someone has seen me in Shoprite before, hit my bum and ran away. There was nothing I could do. There was a movie I did, Open and Close. I was a nymphomaniac in that movie, I had sex with everybody around me because it was the story. The guy said ,”That thing you did in Open and Close, can you just do it to me?” He started whining in Shoprite, mimicking everything I did in the movie, the way I was doing. I just turned to leave, and the next thing he did was to tap my bottom. I wanted to pursue him but I wore heels so I couldn’t pursue him. If it were before, I would have chased him all the way.”
6. Genevieve Nnaji
However, not all admirers are bold and invasive in expressing their enthusiasm. Nnaji, the attractive Nollywood actress, speaks affectionately and kindly of her fans. When asked about any crazy behaviour of her fans, she replied:“Nothing really. I consider my fans more passionate than crazy.”
