Lady Gaga recently got a tattoo in solidarity with the survivors of sexual assault who joined her on stage at the Oscars on Sunday.
Gaga
performed her Oscar-nominated song "Til It Happens to You" at the
Academy Awards on Sunday, accompanied by a group of sexual assault
victims, in the night's most emotional moment.
On
Thursday, the "Applause" singer retweeted a picture of the matching
tattoo she and a number of those who appeared with her recently
received.
Gaga
herself also took a series of snapchat videos and pics while getting
the tattoo, one of which was set to The Beatles' classic hit "Come
Together."
The
Oscars performance garnered a standing ovation from the star-studded
crowd, who were brought to tears by the hopeful and powerful display of
support and unity.
One
of the 50 performers who joined Gaga on stage, Kirat Sandhu, spoke with
ET after the show and opened up about the emotional moment they had
with the singer during rehearsals.
"She
made a point to say to us, you know, we are helping her get through it.
She's helping us heal, and we really wanted it to be an empowering
moment for all of us and all the survivors that were watching," Sandhu
recounted.
