Catch Them Young 19-year-old scammer docked for duping 30-year-old American of $4500

A 19-year-old boy who posed as a woman to dupe a Facebook lover has been nabbed by the EFCC.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arrested and arraigned a 19-year-old Internet fraudster, Adedayo Ojosipe, before an Ikeja High Court, Lagos State, for allegedly defrauding a 30-year-old American, Adam Denborsky, while posing as a woman named Marty Jason, of the sum of $4500.
According to the anti-graft agency, Ojosipe met the Pennsylvania based Denborsky after they met on Facebook and started an online relationship.
The love struck Denborsky thought he had met the love of his life, not knowing that he was being taked for a ride by the young Nigerian scammer.
According to the prosecution, Ojosipe had confessed to receiving the money from Denborsky through Western Union after they met on the social media.
He was also alleged to have confessed to using the money to buy phones and clothes.
