A jealous girl has been arrested for stabbing her rival during a fight over their boyfriend.
A 23-year-old lady identified as Chika, has been arrested by the police in Asaba, Delta State, after she allegedly stabbed a female rival with a dagger during a fight over a boyfriend.
The incident which happened in the Zappa axis of Asaba at the weekend, according to reports, threw the whole area into confusion and pandemonium when the Chika threw caution to the wind and engaged the victim in a bloody fight for snatching her man.
It was gathered that Chika was embittered when her once faithful lover saw the new girl and shifted his attention to the new lady sometime last year.
A resident informed that when Chika initially confronted her rival, the lady claimed she did not know that the man was dating Chika and the two of them reached an agreement to leave her man and Chika acceded to agreement.
But the other lady continued to see the man secretly and when Chika saw them in the man's car the night before the incident, she decided to teach the intruder a lesson.
She reportedly attacked the lady early the next morning and inflicted some injuries on her but the lady was rescued and rushed to a hospital where she received treatment.
Not done, Cika was said to have laid ambush for the rival when she came back from the hospital and attacked her again with the same dagger but the victim also managed to escaped being stabbed in the stomach.
Still, the assailant was said to have run into a shop and picked a bottle from a crate and attempted to stab her victim again before she was held down by some men who later handed her to the police.
