The Amaka Igwe produced series had the best kind of Ego Boyo, Francis Agu, Bob Manuel Udokwu, Nobert Young, Kunle Bamtefa, Bimbo Manuel, John Njamah, Richard Mofe Damijo among others.
According to the late Amaka Igwe, 'Checkmate' was conceived by watching 'Mirror in the Sun' which was produced by Lola Fani-Kayode.
