President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that they won’t regret electing him into office.
Buhari however urged citizens of the country to be patient with him as “the task of rebuilding Nigeria is an arduous one.”
The President made the remarks on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, during a meeting with members of the Nigerian community in Niger during his visit to the country.
Buhari said further that his administration is capable of solving Nigeria's problems.
“I want to reassure (you) that we are going to tackle these challenges head on. Nigerians will not regret that they have entrusted national responsibility to us,” the President said.
“We must not succumb to hopelessness and defeatism. We can fix our problems. However, daunting as the task to surmount these challenges may be, they are by no means insurmountable,” he added.
Buhari also urged all Nigerians, both in the diaspora and at home, to partner with his administration in order to produce the country of their dreams.
